RESPONSIBILITIES
Level Design: Designed and blocked out and implemented level from concept to fully playable state.
Gameplay Design: Designed, prototyped and iterated game mechanics using scripting within Unreal Engine 5.
Scripting: Developed action shooter and inventory mechanics using Unreal Engine’s blueprint scripting.
INTRODUCTION
Action/adventure game level with third person shooter and investigation mechanics. Gameplay is about exploring the mysterious manor filled with enemies and monsters. In order to finish the level, players must overcome enemies solve traversal puzzles and obtain the artefact hidden in the basement. Level design goal is making fully playable level with linear mission line.
Level Design Techniques
• BREADCRUMBS: Leading players into desired path to provide smooth gameplay experience.
• ENVIRONMENTAL STORYTELLING: Placing props to enhance the mood and narrative of the level while teasing upcoming gameplay beats.
GATING & AFFORDANCES: Making sure players are traversing in the controllable space with recognizable tools to interact.

TPS MECHANICS and SCRIPTED EVENTS
Scripted dynamic AI which detects player and attacks with both ranged or melee attacks. Additional scripted events such as exploding walls or collapsing library shelves to improve suprising side of the game.
gating mechanism wıth ınventory system
Locking unlocking system such as unlocking locked doors via key, removing barricades via hammer and reaching high places via carrying box. All key items are obtainable to the inventory. These systems encourage exploration and add problem solving layer to the gameplay.
INVESTIGATION MECHANICS
Showing info by readable notes and investigation points scattered around the level. Collecting info helps changing the pace and allow players to take breaks between intense combat moments in the level flow.

Main quest consists of stealth infiltration, TPS combat and solving traversal puzzles. Intended gameplay designed and scripted around these mechanics.
